Week 3 : Summer Ministry Recap
Our third week of summer ministry powerfully showed God’s faithfulness as our teams traveled through Central West Tennessee, sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. We are continually amazed by how He moves through every club, volunteer, and conversation.
Take a look at what God did across our community during Week 3:
- 153 children reached with a clear presentation of the Gospel!
- 13 precious professions of faith, with several more children opening up for us to plant seeds of truth.
- 19 total children prayed with individually for personal needs and heavy hearts.
- 6 locations across 3 counties served Madison, Gibson, and Haywood counties.
- 14 individual club sessions taught by our dedicated teams.
- 8 faithful volunteers (4 youth and 4 adults)
Our ministry teams brought the light of the Gospel directly to children at the New Hub Club, East Pointe Apartments, and the East Unit Boys & Girls Club in Jackson; the Humboldt Boys & Girls Club and Trenton Elementary School Y-care Summer Camp in Gibson County; and the Brownsville Boys & Girls Club in Haywood County.
Intern Spotlight: A Milestone in Trenton
Although every location was a blessing, Gibson County stood out as a place of remarkable spiritual breakthrough. Our intern Caleb described how the children’s thoughtful and probing questions not only challenged him but also deepened his own faith as he served:
“The highlight of our week was counseling eight children toward salvation over four days in Trenton. Many of them asked questions that truly helped me grow. One child asked if being saved ensures you will always be saved. After discussing this with our coordinator, I was able to reinforce what Ephesians 2:8-9 says about salvation being fully based on faith rather than works. God was definitely working through all of us this week.” — Caleb, CYIA™ Intern.
This is the very heartbeat of our mission. When a child truly understands the unshakeable promise of God’s grace, eternity is transformed!
Thank you for continuing to pray for our teams, giving financially, or volunteering your time. Your support makes these stories of salvation possible. We especially invite you to pray for the 153 children who heard the Word of God this week, and for our interns as they approach the final stretch of summer ministry. Thank you for your partnership!
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” — Ephesians 2:8-9
