Equipped & Commissioned: CYIA Training Camp 2026
Last month, youth from across the state gathered at Carson Springs Conference Center in Newport, TN, for our annual Christian Youth In Action® (CYIA™) training camp. Chapters from East, Middle, and West Tennessee united for a focused week of intensive training, deep discipleship, and preparation to reach unchurched children with the message of Jesus Christ.
Our students spent their days in intensive classes mastering the skills needed for effective children’s ministry. They learned how to clearly present the Gospel using the Wordless Book, teach dynamic Bible lessons, lead upbeat scripture songs, manage memory verse games, and counsel children for salvation. It was a fast-paced week filled with hard work, sweet fellowship, and powerful evening chapels that left our students on fire for summer ministry!
We are proud of our three local Greater Jackson summer interns: Caleb, Autumn, and Kylie! They gave their whole hearts to this training, dedication, and preparation. From early morning devotionals to practice teaching sessions, they worked diligently to prepare themselves to carry the Light of the World directly into our local communities.
The week concluded with a beautiful commissioning service where leaders and parents joined in prayer over these young missionaries, sending them back to their home fields. Now, Caleb, Autumn, and Kylie are back home in Central West Tennessee, fully equipped and ready to hit the pavement leading 5-Day Clubs® in our neighborhoods, backyards, and community centers!
Please join our chapter in praying for Caleb, Autumn, Kylie, and Eli as well as the teams across the state, as they travel and teach this summer. Pray that God protects their steps, gives them boldness, and opens the hearts of the precious children they will reach!
