From West Tennessee to Warrenton: Our Interns Tour the Global Heart of CEF

Here at CEF of Greater Jackson, our heart is to share the Gospel with children right in our local schools and neighborhoods. This summer, our director took our Christian Youth In Action® (CYIA™) interns on a special trip to Warrenton, Missouri, to visit the International Headquarters of Child Evangelism Fellowship® and see the global engine behind our ministry!

Walking Through Ministry History

Stepping onto the grounds in Warrenton, our interns explored historical displays tracing CEF back to 1937, when founder Jesse Overholtzer stepped out in faith with a vision to reach children with the Gospel. Seeing how that humble beginning has grown to reach millions of boys and girls globally showed our young leaders that every local club in West Tennessee is part of a massive movement of God.

The Engine Behind the Mission

During their behind-the-scenes tour, the team saw how operations run at the home office:

Press & Printing: Seeing Gospel tracts, Bible lesson materials, and visual aids printed and prepped for shipping around the world.
International Offices: Seeing where global directors coordinate outreach across different continents and cultures.
Curriculum Development: Seeing where the Bible lessons, songs, and visual resources we use each week are created.

Inspired for Local Ministry

Seeing the scale, prayerful dedication, and rich history at headquarters left our interns inspired and deeply motivated as they returned home to serve the children in Central West Tennessee.
